About the Brooks Straight
Brooks are one of the UK’s leading stairlift manufactures and Ability Plus engineers are training and qualified to carry installs and repairs.
The Brooks straight screws directly in to the staircase and utilises a slimline design to ensure complete access to the stairs for non users. It is very simple to use and has many safety features.
Stairlift runs using batteries that are recharged when the stairlift is “Parked.” This means that the stairlift can still be used during a power cut.

Options available
Hinged Rail
We recommend a hinge in the rail if there is an obstruction at the bottom of the stairs such as a door. Or to prevent a trip hazard. The hinge can be powered or manual.
Heavy Duty Lift
The Brooks straight takes up to 19.9 stone but a heavy duty lift can be installed for users up to 25 stone. This comes with a wider seat and heavy duty batteries.
Powered swivel
Automatic swivel at the top of the stairs to help those that may struggle with manually turning the chair.
Sit/Stand
Multipurpose lift for multiple users. Some users may wish to stand if it is easier on the knees.
Powered footrest
A design for the footrest to automatically fold away when the stairlift is parked.
Outdoor lift
Weather proof lift for outdoor straight stairs, includes waterproof cover.

Total Care Stairlift Maintenance Plan
Our stairlift maintenance plan is an optional package which will enable you pay one amount which will then cover you in the event of a breakdown. It will cover all parts and labour so you wont get any un-expected repair costs. The cost will depend on whether it is a curved or straight stairlift and are outlined below.
